About AI-at-Touro
AI-at-Touro serves as the central hub for artificial intelligence initiatives across the Touro University system.
The department was established in 2024 as part of Touro University's commitment to preparing our community for success in a technology-transformed world and to coordinate and advance AI integration in education, research, and operations. We work collaboratively with all schools and departments to ensure that Touro remains at the forefront of responsible AI adoption in higher education.
Our Mission
Our mission is to foster the thoughtful integration of artificial intelligence across the Touro University system to enhance teaching and learning, advance research, improve operations, and prepare our community for an AI-transformed world—all while upholding our commitment to ethical standards and human-centered education.

Advisory Structure
Our work is guided by several advisory groups that ensure diverse perspectives inform our approach.
AI Advisory Council
Comprised of representatives from all schools and campuses across the Touro University System, the council provides guidance on strategic priorities and ensures AI initiatives align with the needs of different academic areas.
AI in Healthcare Education Taskforce
This specialized group focuses on the unique considerations of AI in medical, pharmacy, and other healthcare education programs.
