In seeking to advance operational excellence through the responsible integration of artificial intelligence, we focus on identifying high-impact opportunities where AI can streamline administrative processes, enhance the student experience, and support institutional decision-making.
We approach AI adoption with ambition and with discipline—partnering closely with Touro IT Services and administrative leaders to ensure that every implementation is thoughtfully aligned with the university’s mission, values, and compliance requirements.
Current Priorities Include:
- Process Automation: Exploring opportunities to reduce administrative burden through intelligent document handling, task routing, and scheduling support.
- Student Support Tools: Evaluating AI-driven solutions that can personalize communication, anticipate student needs, and improve access to services.
- Decision Intelligence: Assessing how predictive models and machine learning can support data-informed planning and resource allocation across departments.
- Governance-First Integration: Developing internal protocols to ensure all operational AI deployments uphold standards for privacy, transparency, and accountability.
AI-at-Touro is actively developing a playbook to guide the rollout of AI tools in operational settings, including principles for procurement, implementation, and ongoing evaluation. Each initiative undergoes a structured review to assess its alignment with institutional priorities, risk profile, and measurable impact.
